Obituary for Fred Herron Brown, Jr.

"Freddie" passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018. He is survived by his wife Connie, their son Justin and his sister Rose Mary Thompson (S.L.) all of Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his father Fred H. Brown, Sr., his mother Dorothy "Dottie" Brown and his sister Dorothy "Debbie" Brown.

Freddie was a graduate of Independence Senior High School in Charlotte. He enjoyed his career in the alarm industry for over 30 years. He was an avid Nascar fan and Ford Mustangs were his vehicle of choice of which he owned several during his lifetime. He also had a passion for music. From an early age he sang in a boys choir and followed that up with singing in the church choir. He especially enjoyed his time singing with his son and friends in the Lawyers Road Band.

Freddie was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church where he was a deacon and sang in the choir. He also taught Sunday School for the middle school boys and the Pittman/Carey Sunday School class. He never met a stranger and always had a smile for all who walked in the door.

Memorial service for Freddie is on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 4855 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC at 3:00pm. Visitation to follow.

In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church or the family has set up Connie's gofundme page in facebook for Freddie's medical expenses and as a memorial to him.
